Don Lang (1895-1958)

Real name American author of children's animal stories which seem to be mostly about the bond between boys and various animals. As far as I know only one of his books featured horses and is once again concerned with a bond between boy and animal, in this case a roan trotter.

Quite easy to find in the USA, but not often seen elsewhere. However it can be picked up fairly cheaply so even if you have to buy from the USA shouldn't be too expensive.
